Matte Stephens is a 34 year old artist that lives in Portland Oregon. He loves modern design and is inspired by anything by Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, George Nelson/Irving Harper and artists like Ben Shahn and Paul Klee. Matte has also done Illustration work for Herman Miller, American Express, The Boston Globe, The Eye Weekly, Glow Magazine, Endless Vacation Magazine, Ipop and Woodmanstern to name a few. This is one of his prints that I love, it's called "Charlie Bird". It is a print of an original gouache painting. All of Matte's prints are printed on Hahnemuhle photo rag 308gsm matte paper with an Epson 3800 printer.
